Trail Riding and Tourism Certification program

In June of 2014 Spirit Reins Ranch owner/operator Karen Yorke-Gilbert attended a pilot program developed by Equine Canada which is the first of its kind in the country. The program’s goal is to create industry standards and best practices for recreational horse-back trail riding and tourism. Twenty-three participants from 8 provinces across Canada attended this 3 day evaluation in order to become certified trail guides and instructors. This fantastic new program took place at Broadleaf Guest Ranch in New Brunswick, and we look forward to attending again in the fall!
